What We Do:
Hope Charity International provides financial assistance to cancer patients unable to pay medical costs. We also provide resource and referral services to community support groups, transportation organizations and other vital services so that patients receive the love and support they deserve.
Who We Serve:
HCI exists to prevent stories like these:
Rosie was diagnosed with breast cancer at 62. She
underwent grueling surgeries, chemotherapy and
radiation therapy. After initial successes, her cancer
relapsed in 18 months and had spread to multiple
organs. Treatment would have cost her over $50,000,
and despite a strong desire to fight her cancer, she
was physically incapable of doing so. She did not live
long enough to see her granddaughter graduate from
high school.
Mary, a colon cancer patient, could not afford her
monthly prescriptions, which were essential to keeping her
cancer at bay. A co-pay of $1,200 was insurmountable
for someone living on a fixed income. She ceased treatment
after only two doses due to the high cost.
Rosie, Mary and innumerable others are forced to
make devastating decisions because of the skyrocketing
costs of medical care. Hope Charity International aims
to provide relief.
Hope Charity International has received the Gold Seal of Transparency from GuideStar - a common format for nonprofits to report on their effectiveness.
