Hope Charity International (HCI) has been established to help needy cancer patients get treatment, transportation, prosthesis and medicine. HCI supports cancer research and educates those in lesser developed nations about cancer prevention.
Its activities are intended to provide the following:
- Grants for cancer research most often given to universities’ medicine and biological science division.
- Grants for clinical trials used in novel cancer treatments.
- Development support and promulgation of disease prevention programs in lesser developed countries.
- Treatment, transportation, prosthesis and medicine to medical patients who do not have health insurance or who otherwise are unable to afford such services when they are diagnosed with cancer. HCI also offers health screenings to these patients.
- Pharmaceutical, co-pay and nutrition assistance.
Hope Charity International has received the Gold Seal of Transparency from GuideStar - a common format for nonprofits to report on their effectiveness.
